Julian Herbert - Principal Analyst

Julian is the Principal Analyst for Broadband at Informa Telecoms & Media. He tracks developments in the broadband industry with the aim of extending the coverage of the WBIS to 150 broadband markets and to make reporting of tier one and tier two operator activity in those markets as comprehensive as possible. Julian has researched the wireless and fixed line industries for 15 years. In addition to a long history with Informa he has, as a free-lance consultant, undertaken projects with Point Topic and Ovum and enjoyed a spell as Head of Research at Kable Ltd.

Mike Woolfrey - Managing Director

Mike is responsible for the strategic direction of the data and forecasting research programme. With over 7 years experience of covering the telecoms industry Mike has been a frequent speaker at international conferences and has contributed to industry titles.

Thomas Wehmeier - Principal Analyst

Thomas works within the European team. His interests lie in analyzing technological evolution from 2G through 3G to 4G and European telecoms regulation, on which he has presented at industry events. Thomas is a regular contributor to Informa's series of Insight Reports.

Thécla Mbongue - Research Analyst

A native French speaker, Thécla's special research focus is on Sub-Saharan Africa. She contributes to Informa's Middle East and Africa Wireless Analyst (MEAWA) and frequently travels to the region. Thécla is a key contributor to World Cellular Data Metrics. Prior to joining Informa, Thecla worked in Paris for a telecoms consultant and in London for wholesale telecoms operator Vectone.

Nasreddine Mana - Industry researcher

Nasreddine is a researcher within the Informa Telecoms & Media wireless research team, focusing on the North African and the Middle East markets. Nasreddine joined Informa Telecoms in April 2008, having previously worked as a Market Research Executive in London. Nasreddine holds a degree in Economics from the Université de Haute Alsace in France as well as an MSc in Business Information Systems from Royal Holloway University of London. Nasreddine speaks Arabic and French fluently.

Kristin Paulin - Research Analyst

Kristin is the North America analyst for the Global Markets team. Based in Chicago, she is a regular at US-based events such as CTIA Wireless. She closely tracks operators' technology migration strategies and has contributed to a number of publications. Prior to joining Informa, Kristin was a market analyst on the semiconductor side of the mobile telecoms industry.

Tingting Liu - Research Analyst

Based in Beijing, Tingting's special research focus is on China and other Chinese-speaking regions. As a native mandarin speaker, she has regular contacts with key players in the region to keep up with industrial developments. She is a regular contributor to Informa's Insight Reports.

James Moore - Research Analyst

James Moore's special research focus is on the Indian sub-continent. He is also a member of the Handset & Devices team and monitors the activities of the Japanese and Korean manufacturers including LG, NEC and Samsung.

Gemma Bunting - Senior Research Analyst

Gemma is responsible for covering the Russian and CIS markets, where she uses her Russian, Croation and Czech language skills. She produces fortnightly analysis for Informa's Mobile Communications Europe. As a member of the World Cellular Investors team her analysis also focuses on global mergers and acquisitions. Gemma graduated in 2004 from the University of Durham with a BA in Russian with Central and Eastern European studies.

Elson Sutanto - Research Analyst

Elson covers developments within Eastern Europe, particularly within the Balkans and the Baltic states. Elson frequently contributes to Informa's Global Mobile publication and has a keen interest on keeping up to date with WiMAX developments worldwide.

Kalyan Medapati - Research Analyst

Kalyan is responsible for tracking Western European and African ISPs for WBIS. He speaks Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and contributes to the South Asian research. He also provides market data analysis for Informa's Telecom Markets. Kalyan graduated in 2005 with an MSc in Economics from Jönköping International Business School, Sweden.
